On Monday, November 29th, CEI mail server was the target of a cyber-attack that sends emails ostensibly from CEI senders to random recipients, generating a fake response to legitimate emails.
In case you received a reply message from a CEI sender to an email that you did not expect a response to, be very careful when opening it.
If you use Outlook as your mail client, the following wording is a clue:
<This item contains active content. Open the item to read its contents>
The content of the message, looks like the following (we have only examples in Italian):
We have neutralized the threat: if you received the above messages, please delete them.
