CEI Prizes

The CEI Prizes are a way of rewarding those who, in their academic or professional capacity, dedicate their work to the development of technical standards in the electrotechnical, electrical and telecommunications sectors.

Every year the CEI awards four Prizes:


Miglior Tesi di Laurea (Best University Thesis)

This CEI Prize is awarded to newly graduated or soon-to-be graduate students whose Final Thesis delve into subjects related to the world of national, EU or international technical standards from a technical, economical or legislative point of view.


La Norma è Donna

This CEI Prize is intended to express appreciation for the fundamental role of women in the world of technical standards. It was created to highlight the importance of women’s participation in standardisation processes.


Giovanni Giorgi

This CEI Prize is reserved for Presidents, Secretaries of Technical Committees and Subcommittees and for CENELEC and IEC Officers nominated by the CEI, who have contributed to standardisation processes in a remarkable way.


Alessandro Volta

This CEI Prize is dedicated to members of the CEI’s different Technical Committees and Subcommittees who have distinguished themselves for their dedication, compromise and competence in the interest of standardisation and related activities.
