A unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge, build professional relations, widen your network and learn about the electrotechnical, electric and telecommunications sectors in Italy and beyond.
The programme is conceived with the objective of supporting and involving emerging talents (Under 40) in the scene of technical standardisation, by offering them a free and structured framework that brings together specialised training, networking, practical experience and participation in national and international IEC activities. An occasion to become the protagonist of change and contribute to the development of the standards that determine the future of technology.

Experts coming from universities, research institutions, companies, European projects will be taken into consideration even if they lack experience in Technical Committees.
The programme is free and is organised in different phases:

Every year, the CEI adheres to the global IEC Young Professionals initiative, encouraging Italian participation in international standardisation and cooperation. This represents a unique opportunity for professionals who are at the beginning of their careers to interact with international experts, develop leadership skills and contribute to the development of global standards. Every year, up to 3 young candidates are selected to represent Italy at the annual IEC Workshop, enabling them to express their ideas and apply their competences on a global platform.
This year, the selected candidates will participate at the IEC YP event, that will be held in parallel with the IEC General Assembly, from the 16th to the 20th of November 2026 in Hamburg.
In addition to the Workshop, the participants will be invited to participate in a series of activities with the objective of reinforcing their involvement, widening their networks and supporting the sharing of knowledge.
