Riccardo Lama, a native of Rome, graduated with honors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza.” He has worked in the electric energy sector for over 35 years, holding managerial positions within the Enel Group in both Europe and Latin America.
Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience in network planning and development, component standardization, work methodologies, management and organizational services, health, safety and environmental (HSE) matters, as well as quality systems and processes.
Since 2019, he has held the position of General President of CEI (Italian Electrotechnical Committee). In addition, since 2009 he has been a member of the Technical Committee of CIRED (International Conference on Electricity Distribution).
In June 2023, he was elected President Elect of CENELEC for the 2025–2027 term, and he began his mandate as President in January 2025.
Paolo Tazzioli graduated in 1992 with a degree in Management Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano. He began his professional career in the manufacturing sector, initially focusing on logistics.
He later worked in the telecommunications and services sectors, holding positions in various national and international companies. Over the years, he developed skills in organizational management and process improvement, among others.
The Technical Bodies of CEI listed below are tasked, with the support and coordination of the Technical Directorate, with providing technical collaboration at the national, European, and international levels. They contribute their expertise to the preparation, revision, and approval of regulatory documents, participating either directly or by correspondence in the related work, and cooperating in the resolution of technical, organizational, and strategic issues in accordance with established procedures.
The CST (Technical Steering Committee) is responsible for coordinating the specific activities of the Technical Committees and Subcommittees, resolving general technical issues that do not fall under the responsibility of individual Committees or Subcommittees, and supporting Italian positions on strategic topics at the international and European levels.

The TCs and SCs have the task of preparing and keeping the CEI Standards updated to the “rule of the art” in the field of their competence. You can find all the CEI Technical Committees on the dedicated website.
The constitution of a Joint Commission with one or more Bodies is decided for the CEI by the Executive Committee. In agreement with the other Bodies, the latter also decides the name of the Mixed Commission, the purpose, the field of competence, the tasks, the composition, the working procedures and any links with similar international activities.
